Founders Adam Johns, MA, LMFT, and Adam Davis, MA Ed, distill best practices and methodologies into the Critical Core project informed by over a decade experience running therapeutic gaming groups.

Virginia is a British trained Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years experience working in pediatrics. Virginia conceptualized and co-led the development of the Critical Core Project. Virginia has completed her PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an Emphasis on Mental Health. Virginia received her autism diagnosis late in life and is a keen advocate of the social model of disability .

ICDL was formed over 20 years ago to be the official home of DIR® and DIRFloortime, recognized as the next generation of evidence-based therapies for autism and other developmental challenges.
